Seeing School Mode endings are needed to unlock two of the time consuming trophies in this game. The Seriously, You Shouldn't Have trophy in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc (Vita) worth 56 points Collected every possible present. After completing the main game, a bonus School Mode will open up to you, which places all fifteen students in an alternate timeline to Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc where rather than being forced to kill each other, they must scavenge items from around the school in 8-bit form and then use these materials to produce one of several different. When getting close to 10 full hearts, Toko's Trigger Happy Heart event will be triggered, which will give Makoto an insight into Toko's inner thoughts. Achieving 10 hearts will unlock Toko's ending at the end of School Mode.

Table of Contents
School Mode is a bonus game mode that becomes available after beating the main story, available on all versions of the game following the release of Danganronpa 2 (Vita, PS4, and PC). It is an alternate storyline in which the students must construct backups of Monokuma within fifty days. They must also clean regularly; failure to do so will lead Monokuma to order the students to do so, which will waste a day. In order to perform these tasks in the most efficient way possible, Makoto must assign them to his fellow students, including:
- Gathering materials: The gathering of materials allows the students to craft Monokuma backups and tools. While necessary, this consumes the students' energy and reduces the cleanliness gauge.
- Cleaning: Restores the cleanliness gauge but also consumes the students' energy.
- Resting: Doesn't aid in the completion of any tasks, but restores the students' energy.
Keep an eye on cleanliness and energy while crafting in order to successfully clear School Mode. This shouldn't be too difficult with the use of tools that double the amount of materials gained (as well as the mop tools, which can eventually allow one student to handle the cleaning on their own, and the Coke Bottle Glasses, which reduce energy consumption), and the Free Time provided during this mode should also give you the opportunity to fill out all students' report cards.
